Happy Valentine’s Day!
Before I jump into things related to music, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the dire state of things in Palestine right now. We are nearly at 150 days of ongoing genocide, with Israel mounting another genocidal onslaught in Rafah, the southernmost tip of Palestine that is currently holding 1.4MM already displaced Palestinians.
They were told this was a safe zone and are now being systematically killed; again. A ceasefire is the bare minimum, and I pray that these dark days come to an end soon, to see a free Palestine. Click on the photo below to learn more.
🌹Cuffing Season: Volume 3🌹
This mixtape was a long time coming. When I tell you this series is my absolute favorite to create because it’s so fun to curate the tracklist, tell a story with the sequencing, and get into the mood of love. This is the third installment of a series that started in 2016, a year after I started dating my now husband, Anthony. You can listen to Volume 1 and Volume 2 to get a sense of the vibe of the series.
For volume 3, I wanted to do something special. 2024 is the Year of the Dragon🐲. In numerology, the number 8 symbolizes balance and harmony, mirroring Venus. So this year, there’s an extra gift layered into the mix: subliminals by Yazamin.
Beneath the music, there are spoken affirmations from Yazamin. These can’t be heard by the naked ear, but they are interwoven throughout the mix on a loop. They are designed to activate in your subconscious mind a deep memory of self-love and power to trust your unique beauty and purpose.

Upcoming shows
Please be patient with me here! I’m announcing a really exciting show at the end of this month. In March, I’ll be blessing Brooklyn Museum for its First Saturday party (more details to be announced) and will be sharing more shows for March + April as soon as things are finalized. New Remix // Made for My Boo
I love the song “Made for me” by Muni Long which has been going viral on TikTok. I heard a potential remix idea in my head and knocked this one out in a few hours at a coffee shop in Brooklyn. I blended it with the classic “My Boo” by Ghostown DJs. Free download is available on SoundCloud.
What I’m Reading
Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity by Peter Attia. I became acquainted with his work through a podcast interview with Andrew Huberman. The book talks about how we can live a longer and healthier lifespan and healthspan. It’s science-heavy, but also easily digestible. The Houseguest is next on my list for Fiction.
What I’m Watching
I can’t wait for the season finale of True Detective this weekend! In tandem, we’re halfway through Griselda. Sofia Vergara is ACTING girl. I’m enjoying both shows.
